The article uses the oral testimony of Eugenio Elorduy Walther, a political opponent in Baja California in the second half of the 20th century, in the context of the electoral hegemony of the PRI to identify the construction of a political capital from his symbolic capital, in addition to pointing out the elements of his narrative identity, which also reveal the habitus of the members of the PAN. This work takes into account the debate between oral testimony and its subjectivity and the importance they have for historical research. Among the results that can be highlighted, is the possibility of counting and eighties, allows us to incorporate the on the narration of an individual whose perspective of an opponent as opposed to political relevance, between the sixties the narrative of the PRI.
