AVELAR BRIBIESCA, Monica Georgina; BRISENO VILCHES, Alejandro e CERVANTES DUENAS, Sonia. Criteria for the hierarchy of tourist signals. Study case , Guadalajara Metropolitan Area (GMA). Zincografía [online]. 2019, vol.3, n.5, pp.35-57. Epub 18-Set-2020. ISSN 2448-8437. https://doi.org/10.32870/zcr.v0i5.65.
The signaling must contain codes that are easily recognizable in any field. Thats why there´s the need to standardize shapes, colors and symbols that together guide visitors or inhabitants from one point to another in the city. Given that, they facilitate mobility and streamline journeys. The signage of cities allows simple travel destinations.
Due to this virtue, the opportunity was presented to make a proposal to rethink the design of the signage of the Metropolitan Area of Guadalajara (GMA) in the year 2013. This was due to the need to establish hierarchical criteria that started from chords a: the reading situation, the amount of information, the relevance of information or the primary reading objective, including as a main variable, cultural development and location environment.
