TSUCHIYA WATANABE, Ricardo Alberto e PEREZ ALBELA STUART, Ruperto. Migrating values: Design and illustrations of chronicles to reinsert moral values in the Peruvian Nikkei community. Zincografía [online]. 2022, vol.6, n.12, pp.201-214. Epub 06-Fev-2023. ISSN 2448-8437. https://doi.org/10.32870/zcr.v6i12.124.
The process of Japanese immigration to Peru left as a cultural heritage moral values that distinguish the Nikkei community within the general community and that, with the syncretism of migration, there is a perception that they are being lost. The present investigation determines that this loss is based on the form and means in which the cultural heritage is spread, which generates a lack of definition of identity. Japanese traditional festivities are used as a common point to spread the Nikkei culture, but they are performed only for the purpose of celebration, so the opportunity to spread the cultural legacy is lost. For this reason, Migrating Values is created, a project that seeks to change the way in which values are transmitted (to reinsert and promote them), relating them to the festivities of the community, applying a method to generate pregnancy in the new Peruvian Nikkei generations. For this, the illustrated chronicle was chosen as the main product (whose characteristic is to be easily accessible, quickly understood and effective arrival) that maintains a relationship between the festivity and the proposed value. The use of graphic narrative makes it a moldable medium, quickly understood and with an aesthetic impact. In addition, it is accompanied by mobile resources, such as the pop up and the paper toy, which generates interaction with the reader.
