Resumo

Non-painful skin tumor, mainly in the dermis of trunk and lower limbs. 80 to 90% are considered low grade and less than 3% metastasize.
Clinical case:
29-year-old woman with lesion in the left ciliar region, resected on two occasions and presenting recurrence on both, the last growth presenting occlusion of the left eye. Histopathological report: dedifferentiated dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans. Wide tumor resection was performed in the left frontonasal region and dorsal flap reconstruction. Actually, 6 years after surgery, the patient has shown no signs of recurrence.
Conclusion:
Infrequent skin tumor, with a high degree of recurrence, a low degree of metastasis and high survival rates.
