ANCHONDO-CALLEROS, Francisco J.  e  GONZALEZ-CONTRERAS, Luis D.. Pulmonary metastasis of cervix carcinoma of squamous cells in association with tuberculosis. A case report. Gac. mex. oncol. [online]. 2021, vol.20, suppl.1, pp.121-124.  Epub 22-Maio-2022. ISSN 2565-005X.  https://doi.org/10.24875/j.gamo.20000034.

A 41-year-old female patient diagnosed with stage I cervical cancer, who presented metastases to lung associated with pulmonary tuberculosis in a time period of 3 months approximately. Incidence of lung metastasis in stage II is 6-7%, with a progression period of 39 months. Metastatic dissemination in most cases is lymphatic; hematogenous form is extremely rare, and if it happens, usual sites are lung and bone. Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection is cell-mediated immunity, which has a decisive role in the development of malignancies. It is difficult to determine which is the causal factor with the greatest influence for the development to metastasis in accelerated way.
