URCID PUGA, Rodrigo. The pandemic as a narrative resource. Content and discourse analysis of two audiovisuals. Rev. panam. comun. [online]. 2022, vol.4, n.1, pp.45-55.  Epub 27-Jun-2022. ISSN 2683-2208.  https://doi.org/10.21555/rpc.v4i1.2551.

The following text aims to show how, from the pandemic derived from COVID-19, new narratives were created that reflect daily issues that in one way or another involve the world. In addition, it shows how, through different cinematographic resources and emerging narratives, it is possible to tell real and emotional stories, with a sarcastic and ironic cut that serve to reevaluate human relationships. The theoretical framework that encompasses this article focuses on cinematographic narratives, genres, cinema during the pandemic and the advent of streaming platforms. This study is carried out through a methodology with a qualitative approach based on content analysis of the film: Together and the BBC television series: Staged. As a result, these two audiovisual products manage to reliably portray what happened during the period of confinement; In addition, it is found that an innovative resource to narrate the series was Zoom, a platform that became popular for working at home and that, in this case, the program uses intelligently. Finally, one of the main conclusions is that, thanks to cinematographic resources, realistic scripts and the way narrative is worked, the entertainment industry, particularly film and television, have opportunities to create new content from historical moments.
