NUNEZ, Francesc; CANTO-MILA, Natàlia e SEEBACH, Swen. Trust, Lies, and Betrayal: The Role of Trust and Its Shadows in Couples' Relationships. Sociológica (Méx.) [online]. 2015, vol.30, n.84, pp.117-142. ISSN 2007-8358.
This article analyzes the role of trust, lies, and betrayal in couples' relationships. The authors look at the role played by trust as a unifying force in creating shared futures, as well as the fine line that separates that shared future from a broken bond, which, if severed, turns relationships into the past. They also underline the porousness of the borders separating the possibility from the impossibility of relationships, above all in online spaces, whose norms are still being established, and in relation to which the shadows of the impossible have many shades of grey.
