To understand the current debate about Marxist theory and practice, its main context must be taken into account: the break between so-called real socialisms and neoliberal transformations in the capitalist mode of accumulation. These processes have skewed the Marxist sense of history. Thus, the forms in which the ways out of this crisis are presented embody the common axiom of situating the problem of the dialectic as the central axis. This article reflects on the status of the dialectic as a method of analysis for contemporary political thinking and contributes to looking into its possible historical conditions. To do that, the authors delve into the work of Anthony Negri.
