This article shows the stories of women in Putumayo, Colombia, displaced women that have to assume additional tasks and roles traditionally allocated to men, including physical labour, heading the house hold and providing food and protection for their families. This women voices tell us what happen when men lose their liveli hoods and their resources, and women not only must assume all economic responsibility but also suffer form depression and they are the direct victims of domestic violence.
