The work written by the Colombian poet Matilde Espinosa de Pérez deserves to be known and recognized by the literary review, so according to this, the article below is a study about two of her last works: The dark land and The town gets into dark. This paper analyses the poetic conception of the female author, the aesthetic connection of her work with her passing within everyday life as a mother, woman and female writer and, the standing she considers among pain, life and death as elements that constitutes her poetic art.
