Shulman in 1986 coined the concept “pedagogical content knowledge” (PCK). A glimpse of the importance of the concept, acquired in the formative process of teachers is presented, besides that of the “chemical reaction” concept in the Chemistry syllabi that covers the basic chemistry concepts from secondary school to college. It is analyzed the documentation of PCK on the chemical reaction concept collected in five General Chemistry Mexican professors using Loughran et al. methodology, that is, by means of the Content Representation (CoRe) and the Pedagogical and Professional experience Repertoires (PaP-eRs, that we call “inventories”). The PaP-eRs that were collected are shown in two appendixes.
