CORONA CADENA, Rubén I.. La superstición como perversión de la religión y de la política: una lectura de Baruch de Spinoza. Intersticios sociales [online]. 2011, n.2. ISSN 2007-4964.

This work attempts to define widely the concept of superstition in Spinoza. In his philosophy, Spinoza makes a research about the origins of this concept. Not always rightfully considered as having a religious origin, superstition belongs to the domain of politics, but above all to moral life. Spinoza shows how damaging is superstition for social and political life and proposes some solutions for it, by constructing individual as well as collective subjects. Among its consequences, we can count a reduction of social and political power, which is harmful for human life in every issue. Spinoza proposes ways not to introduce superstitious dynamics into society.

Palavras-chave : superstition; religion; society; power.
