The purpose of the study was to determine if the formative curriculum influenced in the acquisition of the values of respect and responsability of the fourth grade students in Simón Bolivar Elementary School. It was based on a case study with the following characteristic: a) deterministic show: 26 students; sampling for selection models in experts opinion: 6 cases; c) instruments: field observation and questionnaires; d) statistical elements: coefficient of Pearson's correlation. The conclusions of the results included the presence of the teacher's hidden curriculum expresed by indifference and unrespect toward the students in the classroom; displacement of the hidden curriculum acquired by the children in the family context toward the educational environment; simulation behavior and complicity between the parents and the students when they assuring that the behavior of the children stuck to the school's values; permisivity and lack of the parents' authority in children's education.
