Resumo

The document presents a study due to a particular situation. The method used to carry out the method was based on descriptive, analytical and empirical, which instituted the direct perception of the problem, based on practical experience. Where is expressed in the context of academic performance, the problems being experienced by the academic (CAs) of the Universidad Veracruzana. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to examine some of the causes that are determining the disintegration of the CAs. In support we present some descriptive statistics, accompanied by pictures, which reflect part of the problem, leading to a diagnosis, as well as the relevance to the exercise of leadership as a strategy for progress in these CAs. Finally, we present some suggestions to strengthen the position and prevent the disappearance of the CAs.
