CHICHARRO LAZARO, Alicia. The Adaptation of Internal Law to the International Prohibition of Minors' Mistreats: the End of the Legal Violence in the Family?. Bol. Mex. Der. Comp. [online]. 2010, vol.43, n.128, pp.701-735. ISSN 2448-4873.
This year the 20th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child will be celebrated. This international agreement sets out that children have the right to be protected from being hurt or mistreated, physically or men Sally. This right operates even when the violence comes from their parents. States party to the Convention are therefore obliged to adapt its legislation banning all forms of violence against minors. Recently Spain has changed its Civil Code to omit the reference to parents' right to correct, moderate and reasonable chastisement of their children. Since the reform, Spain is one of the few States, whose law prohibits without reservations any form of violence against children in the family and everywhere else.
