The present investigation is a comparative analysis between three cases of serious violations of human rights such as: Ayotzinapa, Tlatlaya and Apatzingán. In order to establish the associated factors that increases the propensity towards the use of the right to information in these crimes. The results show that a broad intervention of civil organizations propitiates the visibility of the events in these cases, with a public construction of the case favorable to the victims, influencing greater citizen empathy with them. Together, all these factors, favor a greater use of the right to information as an instrument in favor of the right to the truth.
