This article reflects on the study of everyday life in the work of Henri Lefebvre. It analyzes the importance he gives to everydayness to understand the social and historical processes that shaped modernity and how his work the importance he accords to literature for sociological analysis. It emphasizes the relationship between city, revolution, literature and everyday life, as well as the validity, or lack thereof, of his proposals. It highlights the main features that he gives to everydayness and critiques his reflections. It concludes that everyday life is the focal point of Lefebvre’s main argument.
