GONZALEZ GONZALEZ, Francisco Román. Methodological proposal for the analysis of the effects on human health and thermal comfort due to climate change in three regions of Mexico. Acta univ [online]. 2021, vol.31, e3071. Epub 16-Fev-2022. ISSN 2007-9621. https://doi.org/10.15174/au.2021.3071.
This paper aims to analyze the effects of climate change on thermal comfort and human health in three bioclimatic regions of Mexico (semi cold, hot dry, and warm humid). Through the QGIS software version 3.2.3 it was possible to extract the CRNMCM5 general circulation model (GCM) database and apply it to thermal comfort models. The thermal comfort zone behavior was analyzed in three horizons. In addition, future periods that will represent a health risk were identified through the application of a core temperature prediction model. The results show a comparison for each region and demonstrate the viability of the proposed methodology, establishing that a hot humid climate will have greater effects on thermal well-being and human health.
