In this paper we present the main features of a research carried out which focuses on the analysis of the beliefs that teachers in primary education in Mexico have about the use of Information and Communication Technologies in their work within the classroom. Approaching the educational beliefs of these actors can help visualize and understand the guidelines that lead their behavior, and lets us know which the components that offer advantages and disadvantages are in the teaching-learning process. The methodology used is mixed, and focuses on trying to interpret and understand the subjectivity of teachers that integrate the universe of study. Due to the purpose of this paper is descriptive, interpretive and explanatory, to collect information using a questionnaire and in-depth interviews. While the issue of teachers' beliefs has been approached from several strands of educational research in regard to the underlying around the use of IT, studies are still scarce and more on basic education, which becomes a strong motivation to make a success of this research.
