CARDENAS MENDEZ, Eliana. Globalización y patrones migratorios: De circuitos migratorios o biografías de la incertidumbre. Revista Col. San Luis [online]. 2013, vol.3, n.5, pp.90-111. ISSN 2007-8846.
The planetarian expansion of capital, with its emphasis on technocracy and macroeconomics, free market and deregulation as well as the subsequent downsizing of the wellfare state , not only brought countries and cultures under the common denominator of crisis and instability, but also related conflicts of distant countries. On the other hand, local conflicts, due to historical and social contradictions in their homelands, have been used and put to the service of neoliberalism. In this scene, migratory movements have been triggered into national and transnational spaces and in some cases, far from finding own migratory patterns, we can encounter a multiplicity of cases in which the migrants had to experience situations that describe a variety of types or courses and which do not fit into one single standart of population mobility. Following the forced migration of a columbian family on her way through Costa Rica, Mexico and Greece, the article discovers the contexts of the arrival of refugies as well as historical scenes, which gradually become related because of the implementation of developing modells, making capital out of the structure of internal domestic violence to the benefit of its planetarian expansion and the subsequent results of vulnerability and weakening of the national states.
