SALCIDO GONZALEZ, Rogelio Sebastián e CALDERON MORILLON, Oscar. Strategies of resistance and organization by Mexican migrants in the United States, given the actual migration policies. Tla-melaua [online]. 2019, vol.13, n.47, pp.394-417. Epub 07-Out-2020. ISSN 2594-0716.
Donald Trump In his way to the United States presidency presented a profile of xenophobic radicalism. He promised not only the implementation of a policy of zero tolerance for illegal immigration, but also the construction of a modern wall on the border with Mexico to restrict the entry of undocumented immigrants. This gives a scenario that involves the tightening of US immigration policies, which means a virtual declaration of war against immigrants from around the world. However, this policy is not Trump’s invention, as the tendency to curb immigration has been manifesting radically since Bill Clinton´s administration, who raised the first border wall, and Barack Obama, who holds the highest number of immigrant deportation. These policies are replicated by immigrants through the development of resistance and organizational strategies.
