Theories of criminality - such as the Systems Theory, the Neutralization Theory, and the Opportunity Theory - are fundamental to understanding, preventing, and combating political corruption. These theories make it possible to analyse the risk factors and opportunities that arise in the political context for the commission of crimes against the public administration. To this end, the aim is to study them in order to strengthen crime prevention measures in the political sphere.
