The study of experiences of success and failure in sport is located within the content corresponding to post-competitive emotions. The article invites the reader to reflect on how negative or positive results should be dealt with; illustrating examples of the repercussions that the result of a fight can have, especially a defeat, and especially in the game of chess. Important moments of the chess world are shown and how the loss of a game, or even a victory, can negatively affect and even change the life of the chess player.
