Currently, the functions of human resources management- attract and retain talent, train people, performance appraisal and rewards - are in constant change and because of this, it must remain up to date in the competitive environment through the use of technology and attending people’s needs. In this research we want to know the impact of the different objectives of compensation management in the compensation mix, such as monetary or non-monetary type. This is a quantitative research in which 306 workers participated1 and our findings were that the main objectives of compensations are “to improve the performance of the company” and “promote effectiveness”, while “wages” and “benefits” are the main components of the mix of compensation that workers prefer.
