México: Oaxaca: Municipality of Santa Cruz Itundujia: Santa Cruz Itundujia (16.881292ºN, 97.665361ºW; WGS 84), 2,405 m a.s.l.); 10 March 2021. The individual was found active and photographed by local villager Felipe Santiago Vázquez while clearing a field crop (Fig. 1). The surrounding vegetation is composed of pine-oak forest. This record extends the range 83 km NW of the closest locality listed as “5.4 km east of Juquila” (Campbell et al., 2016). The species was previously known just from the type localities in the vicinities of Santa Catarina Juquila and San Miguel Suchixtepec (Campbell et al., op cit.), and in the municipality of San Mateo Río Hondo (Schätti, 2019) in the Sierra Madre del Sur physiographic region of Oaxaca (Campbell et al., 2016). Additionally, this record also represents the highest elevation (previous elevation was 2,365 m [Schätti, 2019]).
