ALVAREZ PEREZ, Pedro Ricardo. The institutional schemes of tutorship and the development of competence in the frame of the European Space of Higher Education: A study from the students' point of view. Perfiles educativos [online]. 2012, vol.34, n.137, pp.28-45. ISSN 0185-2698.
During the last times the necessity has been felt to consider that teaching at the university must be propound from the point of view of a comprehensive training and preparing for life, this means that it must be professionalizing and able to prepare the students in all the aspects they will need to integrate and to develop themselves within the society. The tutorship in the university career, as a dimension that is intrinsic to the educational action itself, appears as a relevant help strategy in order to help the students to adapt to the university life, to improve their academic performance and to define their academic and professional project. In this article the author collects the appraisals expressed by first year students in three different years, about in which way the Tutorship University Program of the Faculty of Education of the Universidad de la Laguna, Spain, contributed to their training.
