ALLE, María Fernanda. Anti-fascism and Song. A Reading of Raúl González Tuñón’s La rosa blindada. Acta poét [online]. 2019, vol.40, n.1, pp.117-139. ISSN 2448-735X. https://doi.org/10.19130/iifl.ap.2019.1.848.
This article proposes a reading of La rosa blindada (1936), by the Argentinian poet Raúl González Tuñón, in light of the antifascist struggle. I argue that this poems’ collection opens a new stage of the author’s poetics that will have its high point in the books he writes in the context of the Spanish Civil War. It focuses the attention, mainly, on the public’s forecast that González Tuñón imagines as an addressee and on the consequent artistic searches that the delimitation of said public brings into play. These searches, that distance the author’s poetry from avant-garde experimentation, are based fundamentally on the recovery of the Spanish poetic traditions.
