In this paper I present some of the findings of my doctoral research “Parental Arrangements of gay men in Mexico City: destabilization or continuity?” While identifying the similarities and differences in the arrangements of people of the sexual diversity, I analyze and criticize the terms homoparentality and homoparental family, and I point out some of the implications of using such terms without identifying the legacy of its creation and I propose some other options.
