The aim of this article is to provide, on the one hand, a state of aff airs regarding the studies related to postwar migration from Spain to Argentina (1946-1956), pointing out the evolution of the meaning and application of two key categories in migration studies, such as exile and emigration, all this in order to propose a definition of political migration. On the other hand, I will delve into the characteristics of postwar flow, which made it different from previous population movements, so as to finally share and analyze the experiences of those who lived it, by means of their testimonies.
