Resumen
ALARCON, Rafael y BECERRA, William. ¿Criminales o víctimas? La deportación de migrantes mexicanos de Estados Unidos a Tijuana, Baja California. Norteamérica [online]. 2012, vol.7, n.1, pp.125-148. ISSN 2448-7228.
In addition to migrants detained during illegal border crossings, the U.S. government today deports a growing number of Mexican citizens captured there, who are classifed as criminals. The objective of this article is to analyze the causes of deportation that 3 457 repatriated men cited when receiving the services of the House of the Migrant in Tijuana in 2010. This article’s findings show that most of the migrants were deported because they had committed traffic violations or offenses involving the consumption of alcohol and drugs or domestic violence.
