Resumen
MAGAR MEURS, Valerie. Réplica a "El restaurador como artista-intérprete": Responsabilidad en la acción y la formación en la conservación. Intervención (Méx. DF) [online]. 2010, vol.1, n.1, pp.19-25. ISSN 2007-249X.
This text is a short comment on the article by Carolusa González Tirado, published in this volume of Intervención. It specifically develops four themes. It starts with a brief review on the importance of perception and interpretation of cultural heritage, and their impact in conservation decisions. Another topic is the critical judgment required following the evaluation of a cultural object or site, in view of its conservation or restoration. The third point analyses the specific nature of training of conservators, a balanced combination of knowledge and skills, which allow them to have informed opinions and decisions. The last point focuses on the broadening of the definition of heritage in the last decades, and in particular, on the number of stakeholders who now tend to play a more active role during decision-making of the future of our cultural heritage.
