LARRACILLA SALAZAR, Némesis; MORENO GARCIA, Elena y GARCIA SANTILLAN, Arturo. Factors that explain anxiety towards mathematics in economics students in Mexico. Investig. adm. [online]. 2019, vol.48, n.124. ISSN 2448-7678.
Anxiety towards mathematics remains a topic of interest in the educational area, reason for this work aims to identify the components that explain anxiety towards mathematics in Mexican Economics students. In this way, quantitative method and the factorial analysis are used to measure three dimensions: ANSIEVAL, ANSIETAR and ANSIECUR, through the AMARS (Alexander & Martray, 1989). Results point at ANSIEVAL dimension as mayor component of the anxiety towards mathematics with 26.62% of total variance explained. The limitation of this study consists in data was obtained only from the sample of 381 students, who were the only one who want to participate. It should be noted that the items are grouped differently in two of the three dimensions (ANSIEVAL and ANSIECUR), which suggests differences in the “evaluation” word meaning for a mexican student.
